What is the minimum percentage a student must score in 10th, 12th, Graduation and CAT for IIMA, IIMB and IIM...?? Please guide and help me..
Hi Sukanya.
There is no specific and accurate answer to your question. However, the following points might prove useful.
1.
All IIMs have their own (and therefore different) selection criterias.
While a particular IIM might consider CAT score as the most important criterion, some other IIM might prefer to give more weightage to academics or work experience.
2. Everything is relative. Your chances of getting selected depends majorly on the pool of candidates.
3.
Diversity is helpful.
Relaxations based on academics and gender increase your chances of getting shortlisted at a lower percentile.
All the best!

with these academic background am i eligible for getting into the IIM- A,B,C? even if i do well in the CAT and also in GD as well in PI?
please do solve my queries...
IIM-A,B,C are the best bschools in India and they take only the best of the best profiles.
So anything below the range of 90-95% in 10th-12th has a very difficult chance to get in.
For other IIMs anything ranging from 75-99 is good enough to get you a call and as well get you through with a few extracurriculars or certificates or workex or profile diversity.
All the best.

Hi,
Well to say, keeping an upper side, obviously all IIMs would want students with 90+ in academics. However, that's not always the case.
Students with slightly lesser are also taken, provided that's traded off with some other excellent achievement.
IIMA is considered to be highly academic institution. What I mean by this is that it looks for academically excellent students (preferably toppers).
So, is the other creme IIMs too.
85+ is however considered a decent score.
All the best!!
Hi Sukanya,
It would be good if a candidate has higher academic scores in class 10th,12th and graduation, but people with low academic scores have also made it to IIMs. The admission process has different variables like academic profile, interview, GD, PI and CAT Percentile. You can make up for a portion by exceling another.Work experience is preferred but is not mandatory.
It will be more beneficial if you have 90+ percentage in 10th and 12th. And 80+ percentage in graduation because it has upto 25% weightage in IIM Admission. Apart from this, your work experience also matters.
Try to score 95+ percentile for IIM Calls.
If your academic record are not good but still you score 95+ percentile then still you can get IIM Calls.
Good Luck
Hello Sukanya ,
One must have minimum of 50 % marks in class 10 , 12 and graduation to be eligible to apply in an IIM . However , if you have a good percentage , it would be a upper hand over the other students as some of the IIMs give special points to class 10 , 12 and graduation marks .
