All the best
The first thing I want to inform you is in Cat exam there is no system called percentage.
Cat exam is the exam which give calls to student on the basis of percentile.
You may have question now, What is percentile?
Percentile is the score which is calculated on the basis of total number of student
If you top the exams whatever score you might have
You will be the 100 percentiler.
Like this if suppose you get 95 percentile of score that means above you there are 5% of the total appeared student
And below you 94% of student.
Now the mains query of yours
To get into Top Business schools
Like IIM A,B,C if your are general category student
You must need minimum overall 90+ percentile.
And also you have to clear sectional cutoff of every section.
All the best for your preparation as well as for exam
Good luck
Hey aspirant,
The to get calls from IIM's you need to maintain a minimum cutoff of 80 percentile in all the section and 90+ percentile overall for General. And also you need to maintain good academic records to convert the call. There are 20 IIMs and in more than 1000 B-schools across India and all of them accepts CAT score for the admission. And to get 90+ percentile you need to score 50+ out off 100 questions as per the previous rank holders score.
