what is the minimum percentile required for sc candidate with home state quota to get VNIT
Dear student,
If you just want a threshold rank for getting into vnit nagpur, then atleast your rank must be less than 6800 from home state quota ( for eg : for getting mining engineering) . And for that you have to score greater than than 86 percentile. But if your want good branches like computer science and engineering then your rank must be under 950 from home state quota, and for that your percentile score must be greater than 96.8
And for branches like chemical engineering, electrical engineering, ece, your rank must be approximately under 4500 (as per the last josaa round) and for that your percentile score must be gearter than 89.
So, if you just want to get any seat via home state quota from sc category, then your percentile must be 86.
Dear aspirant,
The minimum percentile can't be predicted as these depends on many factors as the number of sc candidates every year differs with toughness level of the paper.
But in general if you would score a rank of 6k in sc category, then you would definitely get a seat in vnit nagpur but these are subject to change.
Hi
This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in nit as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
When we go through previous year trend then ,
In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for sc category to get computer science engineering , 942 was closing sc rank for gender neutral under home state quota in vnit nagpur
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
And 942 sc rank is roughly around 120 marks i. e overall percentile of around 97 percentile and general rank of around 20,000 ,for this you can refer to our page, the link for the same is provided below
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile
But yes cutoff keep changing every year, so to be on the safer side try to get at least 130 marks in your jee main 2021
Now, limited time is left for jee mains 2021 , so focus on your preparation, to prepare well for your jee examination, go through chapters first and your focus should be on grasping concepts , practising questions and then revising them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.
If you have any other doubt then you can always reach us to clear them :) we are always available to help you out and guide you
