Hi
Marks must be around 200. You have to secure a rank within 10k tofetch a seat in CSE at good NITs and GFTIs. Doing CSE from other worthless colleges are really worthless.
You can always check the same about NITs Cutoff for B.Tech Computer Science Engineering in a greater detail through this link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-btech-computer-science-engineering.
Best of Luck.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
Hello Subrata
If you consider this year trend then one must get aleast 190+ for CSE and 180+ for IT, for General. This year the closing score was 207 for CSE in NIT Patna. So, from this figure you can have an idea of cutoffs and closing rank for CSE.
All the best!!
The minimum marks needed to get into an Nit for engineering Totally depends on your category. If you are from general category then you need minimum 150 marks to get into an NIT. If you are from OBC , then you need minimum 100-110 marks. If you are ST or SC then you need minimum 70-85 marks to get into an NIT.
Hope it helps
That totally depend at which NIT you want CSE. Suppose you want cse at NIT warangal, trichy or surathkal then you have to get AIR of 800 which coresspond to 280+ marks in jee main.
Or you are looking for cse at NIT: allahabad, bhopal, jaipur, surat, calicut then you have to score atleast 255+,which is equivalent to rank of around 3000.
Others NITs such as: raurkela, nagpur, kurukshetra, delhi, score of 235+ is needed, which correspond to a rank of 5000.
You have to fetch 225+ or AIR 7000 then you will get cse at NITs like jamshedpur, durgapur, patna, jalandhar.
All the information provided is for general category only, and home state quota is not taken into consideration.
I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.
