Hi
As per your question according to the data you have to attain a minimum of 170+, to urge an NIT. Also it
depends on the selection of your branch. i do know everyone wants computing , except for that your
rank must be under 2500. And to urge rank under 2500, score atleast 240+ . But relex 170+ is optimum
for any NIT if you're comfortable with mechanical, electrical then on.
Sometimes it depends on Home state quota. Suppose your rank is 12000 in jee mains but you're from
Rajasthan then it's too difficult for you to urge NIT Jaipur through home state. But with same rank you're
from Odisha then you easily get NIT Rourkela through home state.
Now let's mention OBC category, if you're in OBC category then if you score 140+ you'll easily get one
among the highest NIT. But you've got to compromise with branch. If your OBC rank is within 1000 then
could also be you get CSE branch. Cut for OBC is varies from 50–70 marks. So, do not be so panic
exerting and take the benifit of what you've got .
At last if you're in SC/ST OR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED then be relaxed and score just 60–70 marks and
you'll easily get NIT. But here also the seats are very less in number. So take care thereupon . Take all
the advantages that what you've got , never considered others. If you score atleast 120+ marks then
definitely you'll get any NIT. Just close your eye and put your finger over any top NIT with any branch.
Hope helpful.
