Number of students appearing for examination
Previous year cutoff trends
Difficulty level of the paper etc.
However, looking at the predicted cutoff trends, The minimum rank that you need to score in JEE mains to get into top NITs under DASA should be around 750 to 2500. So, you see that you need very high rank in JEE mains and for IIT's you need to give JEE advance.
Further, the minimum predicted and safer percentile score to get into top NIt's under DASA would be approx : 95 to 99 %tile.
