what is the moment of inertia ?
Answer (1)
Hello there!
Greetings!
Moment of inertia is the property due to which a body resists angular acceleration, it is the sum of the products of the mass of each particle in the body with the square of its distance from the axis of rotation.
Moment of inertia is the physical quantity which describes how easily a body can be rotated about a given axis, we can say that it is rotational analogue of mass,( which describes an object's resistance to translational motion),similarly moment of inertia opposes rotational motion.
I hope it helps you.
For any other doubts feel free to ask.
thankyou
