Hello aspirant, I hope you're doing well!
I'm here to help!
ISRO entry level Scientist/Engineer salary (7th CPC):
Basic Pay (BP) = Rs. 56100 /-
DA : 7% of BP = Rs. 3927 /-
HRA : 24% of BP = Rs. 13464/- for Class ‘X’ cities. (16%/Rs.8976 for Class ’Y’ cities, 8%/Rs.4488 for Class ’Z’ cities)
Transport Allowance (TA) {which wont be applicable if utlising office transport vehicle}
= Rs. 7200/- for Tier-I cities (Rs. 3600 for other places)
DA on TA (7%) = Rs. 504/- for Tier-I cities (Rs. 252 for other places)
Total (*maximum) = Rs. 81195 /-
(These allowances are subject to revision and change from time to time)
If you are a graduate from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), chances are you might earn somewhere between Rs 9 lakh to Rs 12 lakh per annum depending on the value that you add but it is rare.
The Take Home Pay will be after deducting :
* 10% of Basic Pay, for Contributory Pension Scheme,
* Income Tax,
* Profession Tax,
* Education Cess,
* CGE Group Insurance contribution,
* ISRO Insurance Schemes (Viswas/SAFE) contribution,
* Subscription amount for Health Scheme (CHSS) etc.
There will be a 3% increment in the Basic Pay (every year (in January or July), which will reflect in the other components DA & HRA also. The basic pay will be thus revised to the next row in Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.
A Professional Update Allowance of Rs.22500 will be provided every year in the Month of April.
From the second year onwards, the Performance Related Incentive Scheme (PRIS) also will be provided, if eligible.
I hope the answer helps!
