Hello Aspirant,

As you have not mentioned the college. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council is the full name of the NAAC. Higher education institutions are graded by NAAC according to four categories: A, B, C, and D. With the use of these available grades, the college's or institution's performance is accredited.

A specific grade is assigned within a specific range of the institutional CGPA, and is followed by accredited and non-accredited. for example, A+(3.26-3.50), A(3.01-3.25), B++(2.76 – 3.00), and A++ GRADE (3.51-4.00 CGPA).

Hey,

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) uses a binary category system of "accredited" or "not accredited".

The NAAC assesses academic programs and learning outcomes to improve student growth. It also helps maintain the quality of education among institutes and facilitates central and scholarship programs.

The NAAC grades institutions based on their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA):

  • A++: 3.51–4.00
  • A+: 3.26–3.50
  • A: 3.01–3.25
  • B++: 2.76–3.00

To qualify for a grade, an institution needs to score at least 1.51 CGPA aggregated score (quantitative and qualitative) in each criterion.

The NAAC also considers the following criteria:

  • Teaching-learning and evaluation
  • Infrastructure and learning resources
  • Research, innovations, and extension
  • Curricular aspects
  • Governance, leadership, and management
  • Student support and progression
  • Institutional values and best practices

Hope this helps you.

Hii There,

Education is crucial for the progress of any country, hence emphasizing both the expansion of access and the enhancement of quality in higher education is essential. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is established to assist participating institutions in evaluating their performance against predefined criteria through self-reflection and a participatory process. I graduated from the Institute of Law, Nirma University, which holds an A+ rating from NAAC.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks
