Psychology ko Hindi mein manovigyan kaha jata hai aur manovigyan Ek Aisi vidya hai jo manushya ya prani ke vicharon bhavnaon Chintan Manan tatha Uske vyavhar aachar Vichar aadi ka adhyayan karti hai. Manovigyan na Keval Manav ke vyavhar ka adhyayan Karta Hai balki Manav ke vyavharon ko pradarshit karne wale tatvon ka bhi adhyayan karta hai.

Prarambh Mein manovigyan Ko Darshan Shastra se Joda jata tha parantu Sir William James Ne manovigyan Ko Darshan Shastra se Mukt karane ka Pratham Prayas Kiya William James America mein manovigyan ke Janak Mane Jaate Hain Vishva istar mein manovigyan ka Janm 1900 se Mana jata hai.
