The eligibility criteria for candidates to earn a degree in B.Tech Biotechnology course is that he should be a pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) with minimum 50% marks in subjects like biology, physics, chemistry and maths. Some institutions consider only biology as a compulsory subject while some institutes considers physics, chemistry and maths as combination subjects. Admission in B.Tech Biotechnology course is completely based on entrance examination.
Duration of B.Tech Biotechnology course is of 4 years with eight semesters that covers various topics. Some of the subject consists of engineering, microbiology, maths, molecular biology, biochemistry, plant and animal biotechnology, process biotechnology, bioinformatics, immunology and many others. The candidates can do specialization in various areas like quality control, administration, development production, etc. After completing your graduation degree in Biotechnology, you can also pursue Master’s degree.
