Here are the next steps for admission formalities at IIT Madras after receiving a seat acceptance letter from JoSAA 2024 in the 1st round ¹:

· Download the provisional allotment letter and pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 35,000.

· Select options: Floating (accept the seat and remain open for upgradation), Freezing (satisfied with the seat and do not wish to participate further), or Sliding (confirm the seat and be open for admission to a higher-preferred course in the same institute).

· Get documents verified at the Reporting Centre (RC).

· Report to the allotted institute (IIT Madras) to deposit the remaining fee and complete admission formalities.

· Verify the documents online as per the schedule.

· Report to IIT Madras to confirm your admission and complete other admission-related formalities.
