what is the next step after i select float (NCHMCT JEE)in choice filling form?
Hi,
Float- It means you have been allotted a seat and you've accepted the seat but you want a better programme than what you've been allotted. In this case once you are allotted a seat in the further rounds, you'll lose the seat which was allotted previously.
After choice filling in josaa you have not to do any thing . After seat allotment you have to pay the seat acceptance fee and go to the nearest center for documents verification .

In the josaa counselling process a candid gets three options which is to either slide, float, or lock his seat. If you choose the lock option, then it means that you are self satisfied with the allotted seat and you will have to lock the current allotted seat in any round of the counselling process and you will be no longer eligible to take part in further counselling rounds. If you choose the float option then you will temporarily locked the currently alloted seat, but you will be eligible to take part in further counselling rounds with a chance to get a better ranked seat in the subsequent rounds.
