Hope you are doing great.  Chemical Engineering at NIT, Trichy has excellent placement rates. Nearly 95% of all students are placed. The typical salary is well over 8 Lakh per Annum, and a number of prestigious recruiters visit the college to make placements for jobs in India and abroad. 28 LPA is the highest package available, 3.5 LPA is the lowest package, and 7.5 LPA is the standard package.

NIT, also referred to as the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli Despite the pandemic, Trichy is conducting its placement drive for the class of 2020–2022, and 90% of undergraduate and 80% of graduate students were placed. 86.5% of the undergraduate class and 83.3% of the graduate class were placed during Placements 2021. All of the M.Tech. VLSI, VSE, and N.D.T. batches were placed.

Chemical engineering is an engineering field which deals with the study of operation and design of chemical plants as well as methods of improving production. Chemical engineers focus on processes and products they develop and design processes to create products; either focussing on improving existing processes or creating new ones. This means that they are also concerned with managing resources, protecting the environment and health and safety.

Entrance exams: jee mains, jee advanced, comedk, mht cet, Gate, Bitsat, viteee, srmjeee etc.


Students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam scoring a minimum of 50% aggregate marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Students must have qualified for the entrance examination conducted by the universities or institutions to pursue a course in Chemical Engineering.
