What is the passing criteria for 12th HSC ?Please reply I'm confused
Since you have not provided which educational board, let's take CBSE as an example. In case of the CBSE Class 12 board, you must score a minimum of 33% marks out of 100.
Hello John,
YFor each subject in HSC exam, you'll have to score at least 20% for each paper i.e. (16 marks minimum for an 80 marks paper & 14 marks minimum for a 70 marks paper) to be considered as Passed.
In total for all subjects, including internal and written exam marks, you'll have to score 33% minimum to pass.
Now, these 33% marks can be viewed by dividing your subjects into two categories -
- Those subjects which didn’t have a practical examination, like Mathematics, English and even Hindi also. The whole theory paper will be of 100 marks and you have to score 33 marks to pass.
- Those subjects which have a practical examination, like Physics, Biology, Chemistry, CS and even Physical Education also. Theory paper is of 70 marks and practical is of 30. So, you have to score 23+10 in both of them simultaneously in order to secure passing marks.
Hope this helps.
