What is the passing criteria of NEET and how many marks are required for selection in NEET ?
Hi Ramakant,
Thanks for asking careers360,
As stated by the Central Board of secondary education- passing marks for NEET are as followed:
GEN- 50%
SC/ST/OBC- 40%
Have a look, they are the qualifying marks and do not assure you with a confirmed MBBS/BDS seat.
For getting a worthy MBBS college, You need to get 530+ marks if you belong to GEN category. For OBC- 510+ and varies a lot for SC and ST categories. This data is based on the records of two consecutive controversial years for the history of Medical Entrance Exam.
However, with the increasing competition, this cutoff score will keep on increasing in the years to come.
