The passing marks differ for various state education boards. In India, typically 33% marks are required to clear the exam. So obtaining around 23 marks out of 70 is a necessity for many state boards.

Generally, the passing marks for exams are determined by the governing bodies. Usually, the passing threshold is set at 33% of the total marks. For your situation, out of 70 marks, the passing score would be 24 marks, which is equivalent to 33% of 70. The passing marks cannot exceed 23.1 marks.

Hello,

In general in every exam passing marks are decided by the authorities. But mostly the passing marks are 35%-40% of the maximum marks. In your case out of 70 marks the passing marks should be 28 marks that is 40% of 70. The passing marks cannot be more than 28 marks.

Hope it helps.
