If you are looking to study abroad, you will have to build up a good portfolio showcasing your grades, your extra curricular activities and social work from 9th to 12th grade. Apart from that, depending on the college you’re aspiring to get into, you will have to write essays on topics given by the college and/or an essay on why you should be selected by them. You May also be required to write the SATs and have a decent score in them. If you’re an Indian, you will be asked to write TOEFEL/IELTS as an English proficiency test.
Coming to your board percentage, it should be pretty much close to the predicted scores that you send via your online registration for your desired college. If its below or way below your predicted score, your chances of getting in are very slim (especially if you’re applying to colleges in UK, Singapore).
Hi Aspirant, Their is no certain criteria for boards percentage. They need see your awards , achievements , Extra-ciricullar activities and you should have good knowledge . For abroad collage , you have to give to SAT exam according to SAT score you have to choose collage.
Hi aspirant, I f you want to study in abroad you need to give SAT/ ACT exam . As you are Indian citizen you need to give TOEFL/IELTS exam to give a prove that you know the english and you understand and write the proper english. If you get qualified the exam and you fullfil the university admission criteria , then you need to give a good resume (achievment, awards, sports , your life)to them, that will increase your acceptance rate.
Ever Universities needs different exams and scores try to get update with all these things.
Hope you understand the point.
Hello Sheshadri,
The percentage needed to study abroad varies from country to country, but to be on the safe side and to be certain of landing in a world class university, it is better to stay close to 70%. Some good universities in Canada, US, Germany asks for 1st class or 2nd class marks with no backlogs. There are many more factors to study abroad in a good university, which includes project reports(if possible), a good Statement of Purpose(SOP), two (sometimes three) letters of recommendation, GRE or SAT marks (as per course requirements) and IELTS (above 7 out of 9, with 6.5 in each part)or TOEFL or equivalent exams (IELTS is mainly preferred in European countries).
Best wishes for your future enveavour
Hope it helps.
Hello Aspirant,
Have to maintain a good percentile in 10+2 board for the bachelor's degree in foreign. As in some countries university scholarship totally depends on the marks obtained in board's.
Atleast 60% of the marks is required. And for the Master's degree, the required is above 60% in the undergraduate degree.
Some country also take SAT score. And for proficiency they take TOFEL and IELTS. Higher the marks in 12th, higher the probability to be in good abroad colleges .
Thank you.
