What is the procedure for admission for architecture?
Hi,
The first and the foremost thing required to get admission into architecture college is NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture). Some colleges also require JEE paper-2 score. I'm attaching the link of the list for the same.
Now, for colleges giving admission only by NATA, you need to score minimum of 40% i.e., 80 marks out of 200. The 200 marks paper is divided into 2 papers of 100 marks each. One paper is online aptitude test which has questions pertaining to architecture, analytical and logical reasoning and maths. The second paper is the drawing part which has questions like perspective drawing, logo designing or object drawing.
After you passing NATA your merit marks are calculated; average of 50% of your NATA score and 50% of your score in boards. On the day of result the government puts down a list of merit marks of all the students who appeared for NATA. By comparing your merit marks to last year cut-offs of the colleges you'll have a clear idea of where you stand.
