what is the procedure to apply for NRI admissions through online MCC counselling ?
Hello Faizal,
these are the ways -
- Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institution and the Government of India.
- Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.
- Admission to the NRI seats may be made on the basis of the marks in the qualifying examination.
- NRI students are not eligible for seats in the General Quota, instead, the Seats of NRI that are not filled are transferred to General Quota.
- For AIIMS, there aren't any reservations for NRI students. You will have to answer AIIMS 2018 and compete with Indian students answering the exam.
- For Counseling in the State, you belong to, you will have to register to opt for the counseling of your state. Here, also you will be under NRI Quota and not General Quota.
- As for Private Medical Colleges, there are NRI seats vacant here as well. You have to apply to the respective Colleges separately for the quota.
- However, you are eligible to 15% All India Quota, provided you score a good rank.
- You should focus on your preparations now and try your best to obtain a good score that will allow you to be eligible for AIQ.
- I hope I answered your query. All the best for your Preparations.
