Hey Komalpreet.

Congratulations on opting LLB as your choice of study. Thetr are majorly 2 ways of goung about it- one, 5 year integrated program in law, two, 3 year law after graduation. Either of them are equally worthy ways of doing it.

Firstly talking about 5 year integrated program in law, there are a number of entrance exams that are conducted by colleges to take admissions. These entrance exams can can be taken right after your +2 exams. CLAT offers 17 National Law Universities which are given to you on the basis of your CLAT score and the preferences you fill during form filling. There are other exams as well which conduct entrance exams. Some of them are:

AILET-NLU Delhi

BLAT- BHU Law School

IPUCET- vairious colleges affiliated to Indraprasth University, Delhi

SET- Symbiosis Law School

MHCET- variius colleges in Maharashtra including GLC, Mumbai and ILS, Pune

ULSAT- UPES, Dehradun

KLSAT- KIIT Law School

You can also opt for 3 years law after graduation. Here also there are a number of entrance test conducted to take admissions. Some of them are:

DU LLB Entrance Exam

BHU UET Law

LSAT India (its score is accepted by other universities/ colleges also)

Punjab Univetsity LLB Law Entrance

AP LAWCET

TS LAWCET

CEE Kerala

You can get more information about these 3 year law entrance exams here:

Hope this serves your query. All the best.

Hello Komal, Glad to hear that you having interest in LLB... See, if you want any specific college or university, then they have their own criteria of selection, such as BLAT exam - BHU Law School, SET exam - Symbiosis Law School etc... and such colleges do also accept CLAT scores

But if you give CLAT exam (Common law Admission Test - which national level exam ), you will be applicable to all India law colleges, especially the National LAW colleges...

CLAT 2018 Syllabus: (1) English/Verbal Ability (including comprehension) - 40 questions,(2) General Awareness - 50 questions,(3) Mathematics/ Quantitative Aptitute - 20 questions,(4) Legal Aptitude - 50 questions,(5) Logical Reasoning - 40 questions

More you score, the best college you will get...

So, all the very best

Hello  komalpreet.

CLAT is a combined entrance examination for 12-14 National Law Schools. If you want to enter into these NLUs, you have to appear for the CLAT.

However, there are other good law schools which have their separate entrance exam or is selection is done on the basis of your +2 marks. Some of the important law school exams that I can think of:

1. LSAT - Jindal Law School

2. AILET - NLU Delhi

3. BLAT - BHU Law School

4. GLC Mumbai - On the basis of +2 marks

5. Amity Law School (through CET and own entrance exam)

6. SET - Symbiosis Law School

7. KLSAT - KIIT Law School

8. CET - IP University, Delhi

9. Christ University Law School

10. ULSAT - UPES Dehradun

For reference, you can check the ratings of these colleges as per career360
