You will have to understand the Counselling process of AIIMS PG, JIPMER PG, and PGIMER.
AIIMS PG Candidates who will be allotted a seat in any of the rounds of counselling will have the choice to retain their seat or give their consent of continuing in the counselling process. There are four options for candidates. Option 1- This option is for the candidates who wish to 'ACCEPT THE ALLOTTED SEAT' and 'DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE' in the further rounds of counselling.
Option 2- This option is for the candidates who wish to 'ACCEPT THE ALLOTTED SEAT' and 'WANT TO PARTICIPATE’ in the next round of Counselling.
Option 3- This option is to be selected by the candidates who wish to 'DECLINE/REFUSE THE ALLOTTED SEAT' and 'DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE’ in the next round of Counselling.
Option 4- This option is to be selected by the candidate who wish to 'DECLINE/REFUSE THE ALLOTTED SEAT' and 'WANT TO PARTICIPATE’ in other rounds of counselling.

JIPMER PG
In JIPMER PG Counselling also, candidates have option to either choose the discipline or opt out. If you choose to opt out, you will be eligible to attend the next counselling round.

Accordng to the counselling procedure, Candidates who does not get the subject of his/her choice in the 1st and 2nd counselling can attend the 2nd and 3rd counselling to get the subject of his/her choice.
