The Veterinary Council of India conducts the online counselling for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and animal husbandry (15% quota) and the remaining 85% through state authorities, which will be on the basis of marks scored in NEET.
1. First, you need to register on the site http://vci.dadf.gov.in/counseling by mentioning the NEET roll number, name, category and all other required details.
Then, the registration fee needs to be paid which is INR 1000 for general category, INR 900 for EWS/OBC and INR 500 for SC/ST/PWD.
2. The next step involves choice locking of preferred colleges. You need to select your desired colleges and then lock it. There is no limit to the number of colleges you can lock. Once satisfied with your preferences, you need to submit the application.
3. After the registration closes, the result of counselling is released in the form of merit list. There will be Round 1, Round 2 and mop up rounds according to the number of seats left.
4. If your name is included in the merit list, you need to report to the allotted college with all the required documents on the date and time assigned. Do not forget to carry NEET score card, NEET admit card, 6-10 passport size photographs, aadhar card for identity proof, class 10 and 12 marksheets, character and transfer certificate and caste certificate if you do not belong to the general category.
