The UG admission in Anna University is based on how many marks you secured in your intermediate (+2) exams. If you could manage good marks then there are a lot of chances to get a seat in Anna University Campus itself.

There is no separate exam for Anna University right now. You have to for TN Engineering counseling conducted by Anna University . It is a one-stop shop for engineering admission into any of the Engineering colleges in TN including Anna University (through merit system).
