NATA is not a college but an entrance test. National Aptitude Test for Architecture is a national level exam which is conducted by the council of Architecture for admission in 5 years B.Arch Programme. Through NATA, candidates can get admission into B.Arch programme offered by Government, Government-aided, Private Unaided, University Departments and Deemed Universities of the country. Previously NATA was conducted once every year, but from the current session the exam would be conducted twice a year.

If the candidate appears in both attempts, then best of the two scores will be considered. The eligibility criteria of NATA has also been changed, with diploma candidates currently no longer eligible for admission. That is not all as there are plans to make changes to the exam pattern and counselling process as well. The question paper of the exam has two parts- Part A containing Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be conducted online, while Part B (Drawing test) will be held in offline mode.

For taking admission in the NATA college, ( COA ), the exam conducting body, doesn’t conduct counselling of NATA.  Instead, you have to apply in the desired institute among the participating institutes separately based on your NATA scores for admission to B.Arch course.

You need to score the minimum cutoff marks in the two individual components and also in aggregate, so that you can become eligible for admissions in NATA.
