Delhi Technological University (DTU), is a premier government engineering institute located in New Delhi, India. It was formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). It was established as first engineering college of Delhi in the year 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. The college was affiliated with the University of Delhi from 1952 to 2009. In 2009, the college was given state university status, thus changing its name to Delhi Technological University. The DCE started functioning from its Kashmere Gate Campus and shifted its campus to Rohini in 1996.

Getting Into DTU - Admission : For all B.Tech programs admission are made through JEE Mains.

DTU Eligibility :

• The selection of candidates is made on the basis of JEE Main All India Rank of the candidates.
• 40% weight age is on JEE score and 60% weight age is on class 12th exam score.
• The age of candidate must lie between 17 to 25 years.

JEE eligibility criteria apply to the DTU for admissions to their undergraduate programs. Based upon their score and rank in the JEE Main exam, shortlisted candidates are called for counseling. B.Tech admission at DTU is done through online counseling. Counseling organized by the college is held for those candidates who are shortlisted through the screening process on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in JEE. After the allotment of seat candidates need to submit the requisite fee and required documents for verification.
