What is the product when cyclohexene is reacting Br2 under the presence of UV light and heat. Can anybody ans this question
1)The product of reaction betweem cyclohexene and Br2 in the presence of Uv light is 3 bromo cyclohexene.
This reaction is an example of substitution of alkanes that is it follows "free radical mechanism"
2)Whereas the minor product is 1,2 dibromocyclohexane
In this product, it follows ionisation mechanism
