Students who have passed 10+2 are eligible for fashion designing. Diploma in fashion designing is a one year course. candidates who are interested in fashion designing can take admission directly. If we want advance certification it takes nearly1-2 years. The cost will be based on the institution.

It depends on college or Institute that you want to take admission. Whatever most of them for undergraduate courses demands a marks of 50% in 10+2 board exam. For bachelor course some of the entrance exams are also there such as DAT, LPU NEST etc. Some of the prominent Institutions also requires a valid score in these tests. Whatever it depends on the college.

One of the most creative course option, Fashion Design is considered to be a very prosperous vocational education stream not only in India but abroad as well. This is primarily because the Fashion industry has grown by leaps and bounds and that too within a decade. Aspirants can pursue Fashion Design as a course at the undergraduate or even at the postgraduate level. Apart from this, aspirants can even pursue short-term Diploma or Certificate programs in the field of Fashion Design.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Aspirants who have cleared their Class 12 from any stream (Science/ Commerce/ Arts) can pursue a Fashion Design course at the graduation level. However, most popular Design colleges allow candidates to take part in their admission process only if they have completed their schooling from a recognized board.

To pursue a Fashion Design course at the postgraduate level, aspirants who have completed a Design course at the graduation level are preferred for admission.

NIFT entrance test is conducted to offer admission in the Bachelor of Design or Bachelor of Fashion Technology programs at 16 campuses of NIFT.
