I would suggest you to give Gate exam as this will open 2 doors for you, first one is for M.Tech and second one is you can try for PSUs as well. But there are many students who go for MBA after B.Tech because they have more interest in management field. So basically, it depends on your interest and potential. To get into top IIT's like IIT Bangalore, Kharagpur aim below 600 rank in GATE and IIT's like IIT Roorkee, BHU. Guwahati, aim below 1000 rank.



In IIT Hyderabad, Patna aim below 1500 rank.

Score above 800 out of 1000 to get into top IIT's like IIT Delhi, Madras.
