I assume you are asking in reference to UPTU 2020 ; also with category not mentioned I assume you to be in General. 280 is quite a decent score to fetch you a CRL range of 7k to 15 k for sure considering the previous year rank matrix of 284  marks  to be 9k. Now subsiding this, upon considering your options , the respective branches along with the colleges that might be available to you are:

1. JSS Academy Of Technical Education, Noida (ECE, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and EIE)

2. AK Garg Engineering College (ECE,Mechanical, civil, Electrical and EIE)

3. KIET Group Of Institutions(IT, ECE,Mechanical,Civil,Electrical and EIE )

4. Galgotias College Of Engineering And Technology(Co,IT, Mechanical,Civil , Electrical and EIE)

5. ABES Engineering College(CSE, IT, ECE , Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and EIE)

6. PSIT Kanpur( All Branches)

You can also try for the colleges apart from that. I just have mentioned the good ones in the domain.

Also keep note that the few of the above universities also provide CO (Computer Science) , CSI (Computer Science and information technology) as an extension to their CSE branch to enhance admissions in software domain, which they might not include in current brochure. Also during counselling keep in mind that (CSE and CO) are same courses and ( CSI and IT) have same syllabus. Dont get confused with names during counselling, thats just an extension.
