Hello Sumedha Mukhopadhyay,
Belonging to engineering sector, i am not very precise while reviewing the law department of CU as not many batches have passed out till now due the fact that the course was started in year 2015,
Course fee for B.A-L.L.B (5 year duration) is around Rs.5 lakh (4.45 lakh)
for L.L.B (3 year duration) is around 3 lakh (2.70 lakh),
But on the very bare glance, research and in-person ratings -
“legal studies surely have an efficient “exposure” and also with very hard working and well qualified faculty. Only thing that can burden you is the competition in this course with Govt. colleges’ L.L.B courses especially Punjab University (PU).”
If possible then do try for PU as its having a record of years while CU is also not a bad choice if you cant get into PU or Army institute of law.
on the whole one should not be having second thoughts if he’s getting enrolled to law at a private university when its CU as exposure is comparable to that of the Govt. institutions like PU and Army institute of law, only difference is lying in the reputation and Seniority of universities in terms of establishment and minutely in curriculum.
