what is the role of counselling and preferences after getting rank in ipu cet ?

After ipu cet result the university starts its admission procedure where first you have to select the preference order of course and college keeping your priority at first then followed by second and soo on. After everyone is done with preference order then online counselling takes place where you get allotted the college that comes under your rank , there are around three rounds of counselling then the spot round where leftover seats are allotted .

As you must be aware that in 2020,there will be no IPU CET and the counselling and seat allotment procedure for B.Tech courses will be based on JEE Main Paper 1 scores.
IPU B.Tech counselling 2020 will be held in online mode for various B.Tech courses including B.Tech and Biotech. IPU B.Tech 2020 counselling will be conducted in three rounds followed by a special and spot round.
In the counseling and preference procedure, you will be required to choose the course and institution in order of you preference and based on your choice filling and availability of seats, authorities will offer the seat.
Seats are allotted based on merit and choices entered by candidate and seats will be allotted to the candidates subject to matter of availability.
