Hi
Cse in which college are you asking about?
I am guessing that you are asking about getting a seat in Computer Science in NITs as they are the best college that you can get through jee main
This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in nit as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
When we go through previous year trend then ,
For instance,
If we take the case of NIT Trichy which is the best NIT
In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for gender neutral to get computer science engineering , closing rank in nit trichy for different categories is provided below, rank for general /open represents crl while rank for rest of the categories represent category rank:-
HOME STATE
Category closing Rank
General/open 4728
EWS 7770
OBC ncl 2008
SC 1520
ST 1750
OPEN STATE
Category closing Rank
General/open 781
EWS 153
OBC ncl 242
SC 198
ST 51
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Your profiles suggest that you are from Rajasthan so you will be eligible for open State quota in NIT Trichy
So, for open state, for obc category 242 was closing obc rank and in terms of marks it is around 220 marks ,for marks vs rank vs percentile you can refer to our page, the link for the same is provided below
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile
Or you can use rank predictor at
So, for topmost NITs like NIT Trichy you should target at least 220 marks while for other decent nits , around 160 marks is enough for getting computer science being from OBC NCL category
Now,
limited time is left for jee mains 2021 , so focus on your preparation, to prepare well for your jee examination, go through chapters first and your focus should be on grasping concepts , practising questions and then revising them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.
If you have any other doubt then you can always reach us to clear them :) we are always available to help you out and guide you
Thankyou
