Hello Shubham

There is no safest rank if you consider the selection as last to last year AIR 49 was not selected but AIR241 got selected. So, it is all dependent on how you perform in Interview part.

But yes for shorlisting you must have a rank Under 250 (considering General). Sometimes rank can be less sometimes high but inside 250 is the safer side.

Dear Shubham,

To be honest, for general category student, safe rank for getting call for PSU is maximum 150. If you rank is anywhere above 150, the chances of getting into a PSU is very thin.

Although, this also depends on the number of vacencies that year, and the number of candidates going for higher studies rather than going for PSUs.

Secondly, you won't get any call from PSU, you have fill seperate form by loging into PSU's websites and filling application form.

Some of the good PSUs for EC candidates are

ONGC, Powergrid, PGCIL, IOCL, NTPC.

Hope this helps.
