Hello Darsh,
B.Tech salary in India depends on the sector you have majored in. Briefly the salary for a fresher would be around 3 lpa - 4 lpa.
Otherwise the salaries depend on the sectors for example-
1- in mechanical engineering the salaries for private sectors would be around Rs. 15K to Rs. 20K per month to the fresher. In PSUs it would be around Rs. 12.6K to Rs. 32.5K per month. In larger manufacturing companies the salary can be around Rs 15K - Rs 30K.
2- in Information Technology (IT) the salary package would be around 3 Lakh for software engineer, associate engineer and analyst (programming). For sr. Software engineer and system engineer the salary would be around 6 lakh.
3- for electrical engineers the salary would be Rs. 20k to Rs. 1 lakh per month. Higher grade electrical engineers get salary in the band of Rs. 35K to Rs. 50 lakh per month. The salary increases with higher the grade increases.
Similarly the salary bands differ from sector to sector and also within sectors according to the job and the position.
