Hello,

The average cardiothoracic surgeon salary in India is 31,34,054 or an equivalent hourly rate of 1,507. In addition, they earn an average bonus of 7,53,740. Salary estimates based on salary survey data collected directly from employers and anonymous employees in India. An entry level cardiothoracic surgeon (1-3 years of experience) earns an average salary of 19,10,140. On the other end, a senior level cardiothoracic surgeon (8+ years of experience) earns an average salary of 50,11,689. This salary estimate has been updated to include data from the COVID-19 impact.

Therefore, the salary per operation varies according to the operation conducted, as the duration of every operation is different.

Hope I was able to clear your doubt. Feel free to ask more questions.

Have a good day!

Hello aspirant , hope you are doing good.

So, the salary of cardiothoracic surgeons are not the same and depends on a lot of factors, but if you want to know a rough amount, the salary of a cardiothoracic surgeon is approximately 25lakhs- 30lakhs. Predicting the exact amount for one operation isn't really possible so I told you the salary in gross.

Hello Aspirant,

There is no exact figures of how much one earns.

It all depends upon the skill of the surgeon, number of surgery per day, type of surgery etc.

He can earn lakhs in a day to crores in a month.

There is nothing fixed.

Eg. In big corporate hospital

Let's say a heart surgeon does 10 angioplasty per day.

Apprx cost of one angioplasty is 5,00,000.

So 10*5,00,000= 50,00,000/day

Detucting expenses 4,00,000(stents, ot charge, anesthetist)

Net profit = 1,00,000

So per month 30*1,00,000= 30,00,000

Per year 12*30,00,000=3.6cr.

(this is just a hypothetical figure. Not for any legal purpose.)

It should also be noted that the surgeon takes minimum 15 years to earn this experience along with his studies. So learn to respect it.
