As for the salary, JAG officers upon starting out get a fixed salary of 15000/- INR per month. After getting posted as a lieutenant, the salary goes up to 56000/- per month.
Besides the actual pay, JAG officers also receive many benefits including pensions, housing allowances, travelling allowances, rations, railway concessions, free hospital facilities etc.

Selected candidate for JAG Entry Scheme will get fixed salary that's 15,500 per month through
management panel. Candidates also will get other benefits, incentives and allowances for JAG Army
2019 as per the norms of the organization.

JAG Eligibilty:
Nationality – The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
Age Limit – The candidate must be of the age between 21-27 years. The date mentioned in matriculation
certificate are going to be considered as final. No other document are going to be accepted for age
declaration and no further change request are going to be entertained.
Educational Qualification – The candidate must have scored 55% marks in LLB graduation degree (3
years professional after graduation or 5 years after 10+2) and therefore the candidate must be eligible
for registration with Bar council of India/ State. Candidates having studied within the college/ university
which aren't recognized by the Bar council of India won't be accepted.
