Travel and tourism Industry is growing at a faster pace in today's time at a global level. Most of the students after graduation is choosing to make career in Travel and tourism industry.

Information assistants who are selected through a competitive exam which is held by the Staff Selection Commission provide information concerning destinations and plan tour.

Travel Agencies :  Agencies facilitate travel and other services for vacations or business purposes such as elaborate information about travel destinations, hotel ratings, the cheapest and the fastest mode of transport, visas, foreign exchange etc.

Hotels : The hospitality industry requires professional individuals in all sectors for jobs related to front office, operations, house keeping, food and beverages, accounting, management and public relations. Here a course in hotel management is always handy for aspirants wishing to enter into this field.

Airlines : This sector of the travel and tourism industry needs ground staff and the airlines staff who must be equipped with a degree in hotel management or travel and tourism. There are numerous career roles as traffic assistants, reservation and counter staff, air hostess & flight pursuers, sales and marketing staff.

Tour Operators: Tour Operators are responsible for organizing tours and managing travel and stay of their clients. They carry out tours to well-known tourist attractions and some of them also facilitate the tourists indulge in adventure sports like river rafting and rock climbing.

Holiday Consultants : This is a very new career option in the travel and tourism industry. They not only supply all the required information but also trade in the holiday packages. The other tasks they perform are making travel plans, booking the tickets and providing other related details to concerned parties.

Banks : As financial institutions act as backbone for this industry, they need people to assist tourists and travelers on matters concerning foreign exchange. Usually professionals with MBA degrees are preferred for this job. Banks also play an important role in hotel and ticket bookings for travellers.

B.com degree is different degree but still you can enter the travel and tourism industry but the right way to enter this industry is that you should have done graduation in travel and tourism which basically comes under hotel management courses.

It is a good industry to enter because travel and your tourism is growing at a good pace so lots of opportunities are there for the freshers.
