What is the scope of bits Hyderabad chemical or civil engineering?

No doubt that BITS Hyderabad has a good reputation to it and this ensures that the alumni of the college has better opportunities. The degrees in civil or chemical engineering are good but the scope is limited in the current scenario. There are many different options –
A) Go for research only if very passionate(in this process you will definitely will be ruining your life as opportunities for good projects are slim in this field).And don't opt for M.S, you will be wasting your time and money.
B) Skill set required to work under private companies and corporations)
C) Best options will be -
I) start coding
II) prepare for MBA(chances here are also less,because you are an engineer)
The placements for this degree are also limited. There are not many companies coming for chemical and civil engineers.

BITS are having three campuses in India across Pilani , Hyderabad & Goa and each and every campus of Bits are known for it's excellency and about the scope which you have asked in your query then about that point of view yeah both the branches are having the greater scope in terms of placement and the academics as well , in there you will also get the chance to study abroad under your respective domain and the good chances of Internships as well across wider range of companies , so yeah overall you have a good scope in both the Chemical / Civil at BITS Hyderabad premises where the average package for both these branches are in between 6-7 LPA.

Overall the placements are lower than other bramches. Yes, all the branches of BITs are good but the main campus is better than all. And the Hyderabad campus is also nice for Civil Engineering overall but I would suggest you to try for BITs pilani as it has better placement records as compare to BITs Hyderabad and Goa. So it is advisable to prepare according to that only.
