What is the scope of jobs and colleges in geology ?

Dear Bappaditya,

Geology is a very fast and diverse subject. A geologist is very essential in making plan the future of mineral resources. You can also think of joining para military forces. In order to be eligible for this course, you need to have completed class 12th with physics, mathematics and chemistry as your core subjects. Then you have to apply for bachelor's degree in geology. Then master's and go for PhD. You may work with organizations such as coal India, oil and natural gas corporation, mineral exploration authority, central ground water board and the geological survey of india, etc. The salary is around INR 10,000 to 20,000 per month and can go up to much more.
