Branch like microwave and optical communication are comes under that category in which maximum job opportunities will be there in future.
Now a days we are all switching to optical communication method because it is too relevant to use.
So don't worry about the scope , you will get better opportunity once completing your M.tech.

You are totally wrong because transfer speed in optical communication can never be achieved by wireless communication.

But according to me optical comm. Will be saturated after some time as wireless technology is spreading very fast
