What is the selection process for MBA in pharmaceutical management?
Hi Sonny, to start of with, MBA/PGMD in Pharma Management is offered in 31 colleges in India including some very well reputed names such as IIHMRR University, Jaipur, Narsee Monjee, Mumbai, ICRI Mumbai, ICRI Delhi, M.S. Ramaiah University, Bangalore and National Institute of Medical Sciences. The application process for this course as like for any other MBA is the same but if you want to know about any particular college then I’ll give you IIHMR’s example.
The selection for MBA Pharma Management is based on your scores in MAT/CAT/CMAT/ATMA/XAT/GMAT/GPAT exam. Since the cutoff of all these exams vary each year, so it is difficult to predict, however, a 95 percentile in MAT is enough for you to get a call for GD/PI. For those who have not/wish not to take either of the above mentioned exams, the college also conducts an IIHMR-U MAT at the Jaipur campus.
Applicanta should hold a recognised bachelor’s degree of a minimum of 3-year education with a minimum of 50% aggregate (Pharmacy/Science/Biotechnology/Management/Science). For those appearing in the last year of their graduation or awaiting their final year results, such candidates, if selected for the course will have to provide an evidence of their graduation within two months of the start of their session.
Other recognised entrance exams include - SNAP, JMET, JEMAT, GPAT and IGNOU OPEN MAT.
I hope this helps you, for any more information or clarrification, feel free to communicate. All the best!
