10th and 12th marks is just a percentage nothing as.Just make it clear in your mind that you have to crack CAT at any cost and do hard work for IIMs . Remember that one sheet of marks cannot decide your future ,if you score 98-99 percentile in CAT by that day noboday will ask you about you 10th and 12th ..

I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.2 percentile to get a call for the next round. Past academics are given due weightage. The second round consists of GD, PI and extempore.

The selection process at FMS starts after you have scored a decent percentile in CAT ( above 98 percentile) . You have to  go the GD session and then a interview around . Though your academics marks doesn't matter that much yet in some cases your academics marks are given priority as well

For FMS, CAT percentile is the sole prominent basis for sending out call letters for further rounds. After that, extempore and interview is what is carried out. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of CAT percentile (85 percent weight), extempore and interview. Scores of 10th and 12th are not given due importance. Focus on getting a really high percentile (99.5 and above in CAT) for improving your chances of conversion.

Yes it does consider 10th and 12th marks. Plus, more weightage is given to the VA section. 40%- VA, 30%-QA and 30%-LRDI
