bsc courses can never be worthless. see there is many career lines available after b.sc in relevant disciplines. if you do b.sc in physics , you may do msc  or integrated phd. there are many research organization like isro, drdo, saha institute of nuclear physics hires such candidates. its true that vacancy is less, but if you try and really dream about it you may surely get success. after bsc course you may go for mba as the eligibility criteria is graduation in any discipline with 50% marks . to obtain a bsc degree from a reputed college is good rather than studying in a tier 3 engineering colleges where placement and infrastructure is really bad.
