The exam comprises of 200 multiple choice, single correct response questions of 4 mark each in English language only as per the following indicative scheme. Pathology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology-25 questions (120 marks)

General Medicine, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiotherapy-35 questions(180 marks)

General Surgery, Anesthesia, Orthopedics and Radiodiagnosis-35 questions (180 marks)

Pediatrics-15 questions(180 marks)

ENT and Ophthalmology-20 questions(120 marks)

Obstetrics and Gynaecology-25 questions (120 marks)
