what is the syllabus for NET in English subject?

The NTA NET English subject syllabus is divided in to 10topics and sub topics.The topics are Drama,Fiction ,Short Stories,Poetry,NON Fictional prose,Literally Criticism, Cultural Studies,Evolution,History,Future of English in India.The NTA UGC Net exam of English subject exam is taken of paper1&paper2 Total marks is paper 1-100 marks of 50 questions and paper 2 consists of 200marks of 100questions.So the total marks is 300  .The questions are of MCQ pattern.All questions are compulsory.There us.no negative marking.The qualifying marks is of 40%for General category students and 35% marks for reserved category students. UGC Net exam time duration is 3hours.

  8. Literary Criticism
  9. Literary Theory
  10. Research Methods and Materials in English

The UGC NET English will comprise of two papers, paper-1 & 2. The syllabus is provided below:
