Hello!

Civil Engineering is a discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works

It has a lot of specializations like:

  • Construction
  • Transportation engg
  • Geotechnical engg
  • Fire protection engg
  • Structural engg
  • Irrigation engg
  • Bridge engg
  • General engg
  • Materials engg
  • Environmental engineering
  • Water resources engineering
  • Urban engg, etc

There are total 8 semisters in civil engineering (4 yrs graduation course). The subjects you study there are as follows:

  • maths, chemistry, english, basic electronics, engg drawing & graphics, mechanics, manufacturing processes, physics, electrical technology, programming and data structures, hydraulics, water engg, transportation engg, structural analysis, surveying, soil mechanics and foundation, design of steel structures, it & cad application, breadth, other electives for specializations subjects.
