What is the syllabus of GATE exam? What is the strategy and planning to be done to crack it? What is the best rank to get admission in IISC?

Hi Vihaa

Generally speaking, the syllabi of the GATE is all off the course in Engineering tenure of 4 years.

Like if you have your BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, then the syllabus is from the core subjects like

1. Strength of Materials

2. IC Engines and Compressors

3. Heat and Mass Transfer

4. Manufacturing Sciences

5. Theory of Machines


Remember that the syllabus of GATE for fourth year appearing students doesn't includes the subjects of 4th year. But if you are already passed out, then the syllabus of 4th year also comes for PSUs, M.Tech and IITs.
