Greetings.
M.Sc. Applied Microbiology is a 2 year post graduate microbiology course. The basic eligibility criteria for this course is that the candidate must possess B.Sc. (Hons)/B.Sc. with 10+2+3 pattern with two of the subjects in its syllabus like Botany, Zoology, Biotech, Microbial, Chemistry, Industrial Microbial, Lif Sci, Environmental Sci. with at least 50% marks in concerned degree. The syllabus for the entrance test of the course are as under:

Various Universities conducted entrance exam for Msc Microbiology in the past and their syllabus have little variation. In most of the case, it consists of four major sections Section I (Chemistry) is compulsory and Section II is optional containing following units (a) Maths and Physics; (b) Biological Sciences; and (c) Earth Sciences. This exam is common for all the graduate and aspirants for different post graduation courses and question paper is designed with all subsection and you can choose your own section.
Few universities have their separate entrance exam for Microbiology i.e. University of Mysore and it consists of following topics:
