The SSC CGL 2025 Exam consists of two tiers:

Tier I (Preliminary)

• Online, objective-type exam with 100 questions (200 marks)
• Sections:
  
  
  1. General Intelligence & Reasoning
  2. General Awareness
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. English Comprehension
     
     
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Negative marking : 0.50 per wrong answer
  
  Tier II (Main Exam)

• Paper I (Mandatory for all)
  
  
  • Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)
    
    
• Paper II (For Junior Statistical Officer & Statistical Investigator) – Statistics
• Duration : 2 hours per paper
